This year's first autumn storm caught me without an umbrella or a camera, but I managed to capture a moment without dropping my iPhone in one South Pasadena's overflowing gutters. I'm always surprised when fall arrives in Southern California. Summer stretches out and fires up in September, making it seem like time really does stand still in this part of the world. Dropping temperatures and soggy weather bring all of us back to reality.
Fall is here.

The air was icey. The pavement, wet with scattered fallen leaves. The wind blew in the door as people came in and went out, dressed in wintry attire. I learned how to say...good wine, in Italian.
WOW - that is stunning with the juxtaposed red posies and blurry red on the sidewalk. A zillion bittersweet songs are rolling around in my head.
