Red, White and Green

Maybe I should change the title of my blog to Glimpses of South Pasadena Vintage Cars...

I didn't have a good shot for commemorating Mother's Day, but this picture is appropriate for me since my daughter tends to tell people, "My mommy takes lots and lots and lots of pictures for her blog. But she REALLY likes pictures of funny old cars!" (Well, I do.)

Happy, happy day to all of you moms out there. (And happy old car for the rest of you!)

I"m not a car person but I want to guess Ford or Plymouth. I'm sure someone will correct me. What I do know is SO Pas must be a hot bed for old car collectors. It's amazing. I expect Beaver and Wally to run out on that porch.

Happy Mother's Day to you and your mom!!!

Happy Mother's Day Laurie,

This one is definitely not treated like an vintage car.
Car top carriers and muscle wheels and tires.
Must be a good runner.

My first thought was an Old Comet but I'm going to have to research that. How wonderful - the placement of the car and the balance between it with the vintage house. I like how the tree to the left almost creates an unbalanced diptych. YAY - when I come, we'll go on an old car scavenger hunt! Tag - you're it.

Happy Mothers Day to you! I still need to pay more attention when I am driving around town because I never see these cars anywhere ... wonderful photo!

My first thought was also a Mercury Comet, Judy. But upon enlarging the photo, a 60's Ford hood ornament is cleary visible. I'm guessing it's about a '64 Ford Fairlane. Too bad the owner felt the need to add chrome wheels, big tires, and yellowo lights. I don't like to see an otherwise fine classic customized this way.

Beautiful photo with lots and lots of spring foilage and a broken curb.

At my home we celebrate middle aged women with loads of cats day. Now personally, I like the car but the cats aren't having a thing to do with it.

Happy mothers day to you and yours

I like this car more than most. I like stripes. Or dual-tones.

Happy Mother's Day!

I think dbdubya has it right. It looks to me like a 1962 Ford Fairlane. Should not be confused with Ford Madox Ford the novelist, or Ford Prefect the character from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Or the cheesy movie (I didn't see it I'm just guessing) called the Adventures of Ford Fairlane.

What Wayne MEANT to say was , "V, is right again, as always. It IS a Ford!" :)

Hello my wonderful ones,

Yup, it's a Ford Fairlane -- it had the identification on the back and, if you were sneaky, you could have seen it in the title of the picture file.

Wayne's list of Fords was inspired!

Thanks for being here, gang. Until tomorrow...
