Night Owls

I couldn't resist taking a picture of this house. It lit up an otherwise dark street like a big night light.

Yakpate said...: There is something so wonderful about a lit-up house on a dark street... it kind of speaks to sanctuary, like a lighthouse on a rocky shore. It instantly creates opposing feelings... subjective loneliness in the eye of the viewer, and objective warmth and strength projected into the home, as if, in there is the happiness I seek.

I'm very fond of this house. I've driven past several times at night when it looked like this. All of the neighbors had turned in but it was still blazing bright. As a fellow night owl, it makes me smile. It's not like one family member is burning the midnight oil... everyone is!
