Makes you wonder what's going on. Or maybe it's just that everything else is so dark that the lights of this house seem even more contrasting than usual.
It's a poker party; they are painting the house inside at night, no time in the day; people who live there just don't turn off lights (I know people like that.) Whatever the reason, I hope they are enjoying whatever it is they are doing. Gives us another thing to wonder about.
There is something so wonderful about a lit-up house on a dark street... it kind of speaks to sanctuary, like a lighthouse on a rocky shore. It instantly creates opposing feelings... subjective loneliness in the eye of the viewer, and objective warmth and strength projected into the home, as if, in there is the happiness I seek.
Thanks for the great comments today! Double D -- you made me laugh.
I'm very fond of this house. I've driven past several times at night when it looked like this. All of the neighbors had turned in but it was still blazing bright. As a fellow night owl, it makes me smile. It's not like one family member is burning the midnight oil... everyone is!
I"m late but hey, my internal clock is all goofed up. I"m up late every night since we got to Paris. Love the night owl house. Maybe they have some jet lag too! V

Thank you Charlie's Coffee House for hosting my photo exhibit, South Pas: Observed. From October 2011 through January 2012 my pictures graced the walls of the best place in town to get a cup of coffee!

It looks warm and inviting...maybe a Memorial Day party, still in swing...or waiting for it's people to return home from a long day....
