Laurie and Judy, I'm so sorry for the loss of Dixie Jane. She seemed like a wonderful lady and we had some really fun times exchanging comments on your blog. My sincere condolences to you both and to your entire extended family. Love you.
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. Dixie Jane is already missed. Wish I'd met her, but at least I got to meet her here. My thoughts are with all her wonderful daughters and family.
Thank you for all of the sweet words and kind wishes. This is a strange and sad time for our family and we appreciate all the love.
I will write a proper tribute to our dear Dixie Jane as soon as I can think straight.
