Craftsman is king in South Pasadena, but if you pay attention you'll find a few rather noble examples of mid-century modern. This is one of my favorites by noted architect John Galbraith. (Here's a night shot of the same home.)

Although mid-century modern isn't my favorite, I certainly appreciate it's simplicity of detail and clean lines. This is perfect in black and white. Don't you love how the shadows of the bricks are softened by those of the overhanging trees?
I always wondered who designed this place. Lots of production companies use this house.
