Springtime for Detectives

I know, I know... this one should be shot in high contrast black and white to give it the full noir treatment it deserves. But that tree! Those clouds! Even Marlowe took his girl flowers for a Sunday drive...

I think I prefer the color version. I would probably have shot this scene from every possible angle.

The colors of the car are great.

Seriously??? WOW - that is fabulous. Is that a Packard? I'm not good at the old 30's and 40's cars. Love that tree. I have to say color is the only way to go with this one.

I don't know why but I wish that were a real word. What would it mean?

You really have an eye for beautiful cars and nice compositions in your pictures.

You and South Pas and the cars lately! Amazing.

Don't you dare give us the B&W of this. That's creamy latte with strawberry ice cream.

Beautiful. Does anybody still dream in black & white?

I think this is your best old car yet. And definitely color. How did you find a car with trim on the hubcaps that matches the tree it's parked under? That wouldn't have shown up in a B&W.

As I walked past this, I thought, "This is a Laurie shot." Find myself looking for your houses, cars, trees . .

I don't know how you keep doing it. This is exceptional!

Oh, my gosh! This shot makes my heart melt; Petrea's "creamy latte and strawberry ice cream is a perfect expression for the the car. Someone's labor of love looks great next to a pink flowering tree in early spring. Thank you!

Thanks, everyone!

I haven't been writing much here lately, but I hope the photos have spoken for themselves. I just ADORE this old car. (Shhh... I've photographed it before and had to break my rule about posting the same car because, well, this shot was too irresistible.)
