FYI

You will find this marvelous tree in the center of Camden Court. The circle of benches beneath it offers a grand place to sit and sip coffee for a few minutes -- especially if your kid wants to eat the sugar cookie you got for her at the McDonalds drive-thru when you picked up your coffee, and you've got a brand new car that you don't want junked out by cookie crumbs.

Good to know, right?

I was just on Camden Court the other day for the Garden Tour. One of the Garden houses displayed an ad for Camden Court when it was built around 1910. Nice little place.

What I love about this most is the painterly quality as you go from a warm yellow green, up through the tree to the purply area toward the sky. This is a beautiful photograph.

Don't worry - that "no crumbs" thing will last about a month or so. I know that scenario well. Try having a 3 and 10 year old and tell them "we aren't going to eat in Mom's new car." HA HA HA HA

Oh Laurie, that is a lovely tree! No kidlets to eat cookies in my car so it still smells new. But I miss the kidlets.

Camden Court? Where is that?

THanks, guys!

Green, it's off Oak Street, almost to Garfield. On the South side. Lovely little circle of homes. A while back, a darling reader emailed me about the fact that there are block events there all the time. I need to check that out because I've only been during week days when it is quiet.

Judy, I am determined not to turn my car into the garbage can on wheels my last one was. Even Little Bit said,"this is GROSS" about all the food crumbs. Yuck! (But, yeah, talk to me in a month...)
