Cruz'n For Roses
Love old cars like I do? Speed on over to Mission Avenue between 10:00AM and 3:00PM today for the annual Cruz'n For Roses Hot Rod and Classic Car Show. Over 400 dream machines are on display so that classic car junkies like me can daydream and drool. It's for a great cause, too. Funds raised from the event contribute to South Pasadena's very own Tournament of Roses Float -- the oldest self-built float in the parade.

That's some kinda ride!! I thought Stutz Bearcat but I was wrong after looking it up. Might even be a custom job. Look at those white walls!!
Wish I were there. Hubby would be drooling.
Careful with that drool LA.
Take a Kleenex.
Looks like the car version of one of those gleaming teeth toothpaste commercials. What a gleam!
Definitely a fun event!
Wish we could be there this year, but it's a bit of a long drive. I got to pick the Mayor's Trophy one year. Not because I was the mayor but because the mayor at the time had something else to do. It was not easy. I found several I wanted to choose and kept whittling it down and finally chose a '66 Austin Healey, a car I lusted for in High School. I picked it because it was the car I wanted to drive home in most which is probably a pretty good way to choose. I was relieved when, after the Mayor's trophy was presented, a couple of people told me it was deserving and one of the top cars in the show.
The Cruzn' for Roses Car Show is one of the best events the town puts on.
I heard there was a huge uproar in the community over that Austin Healey pick. People thought it was fixed from the beginning. ;-)
Not true, Mr. Earl. Not true. Not every decision in So. Pas is pre-ordained.
Did the winning car belong to Joe Payne?
