Terrific composition and use of curves and lines. I can't deny that shadows and light really are two things that make a shot sing for me. Add in my diagonal love, and here you go!!!

Jean: I would love to take the Gold Line and the Flyaway, but I would want to be able to park overnight for several days at the Mission Meridian garage. Because this isn't possible, it doesn't work for me. ;-( I do have friends who take the Flyaway from the airport and I pick them up at Union Station.
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

Have you tried taking the train to the fly-away LAX bus leaving from the train station downtown? It works beautifully and is pretty cheap.
