Getting ready for the Cruzn' for Roses Hot Rod n Classic Car Show, comin' up on Saept. 19. No doubt. Otherwise . . . they're just parkin, and that might be illegal here.
That old Mercedes is oddly juxtaposed with that moving pod directly behind it. Great composition. I like the negative space to the left with the vertical line of the stop sign. :)
Earl, you are right. I have shown this car before. I try not to duplicate cars but this shot was too perfect not to grab. Judy, I hate the modern pod in the background but conned myself into thinking it wasn't obvious in monochrome!
Thanks for the kind words, everybody. Until tomorrow...

Thank you Charlie's Coffee House for hosting my photo exhibit, South Pas: Observed. From October 2011 through January 2012 my pictures graced the walls of the best place in town to get a cup of coffee!
Read the nifty story on photo bloggers Petrea Burchard, Ben Wideman, Kat Likkel and little old me featured in the September, 2011 issue of Pasadena Magazine.

You find the best vintage cars. You should do a coffee table book. Gear work.
Great quote, AH.
I think we've seen this car before. Perhaps driving behind it?
Hiker, that's one of my favorite Chandler quotes.

PS I'm thinking I need another Dena Fix!
If you leave the pic small and don't have the right glasses on, the pod looks like a mid century modern building of sorts...
of course, then you put the right glasses on and enlarge the photo...oh well!!!
You do have a vintage car magnet in that camera of yours!!!
V...keep me posted...I'll be there!!! (or you can swing up to Mammoth!!!)
