Of course, I loved the link to Nightswimming!!!
For some reason, "In a Sentimental Mood," one of Ellington's classics, seemed to fit the bill as well. I searched for a version I really thought gave the mood of this sleepy night time scene, and I think This Version with the Duke himself, accompanying John Coltrane fits the bill.
Laurie, your images always make me think of music. Isn't it great that the visual and the auditory go so well together?
I join you on your chilly night walk along the colorful street and share with you in the memories and the melancholy. It's nice to enjoy music, whatever the occasion. There's always music.
Walking late at night is one of my favorite things to do. The city is hushed and mellow.
The colors in this shot are amazing, aren't they?
I'm partial to the mood of the Duke Ellington piece!!! Gives the picture an edge of noir!!!
Sigh, I'd forgotten about midnight swims. Nice.
