The good vibes coming off this place are so potent you can drink them in. I don't know which is more charming -- the tiny studio or the giant tree. (Maybe it's the way the two just seem to go together in some kind of zen/feng shui affinity.)
A tree that can fill the span of a man's arms grows from a downy tip;
A terrace nine stories high rises from level earth;
A journey of a thousand miles starts from beneath one's feet.

Looking at that massive tree reminds me of a giant sling shot capable of sending its missile from here to eternity.
What I find the most charming is the plaque with the Asian symbol. I don't know if it's Japanese or Chinese. I'm thinking maybe the former. Does anyone know what it means? Maybe I'll look it up. I like the contrasting colors too. That pop of chartreuse is fantastic.
That's the greatest studio ever. LOVE the colors. The tree reminds me of a saguaro!

There's definately good vibes coming from the small window with the kanji for LOVE written on it :)
I'm feeling a little envious of that studio. It remind me of a squared hobbit house - and yes, I'm that dorky.
Lao would not approve of how much I covet this place.
This gorgeous studio proves that a charmed environment doesn't require 4 bedrooms, 3 baths and volume ceilings... it requires imagination.
LOVE that green trim!!!
I love that little studio. I want it.
Now Margaret, don't be greedy. You have a pretty cool studio yourself.
How very wonderful!!!
Love your title!
Yes, I asked my friend Suika in Japan and she concurred that it means love. How terrific is that?
HOwdy gang,
Speaking of Japanese, everyone should check out Kaori's amazing daily blog from suburban Tokyo. Just click on her name or look for Tokorozawa Daily Photo in my link list to the right. It's a wonderful, whimsical look at the little details in her community.
I'm so glad you guys love this place as much as I do! I didn't know which kanji it was, but Love doesn't surprise me in the least. I'm telling you... there is a vibe to the place.
Gruvkitty, here's to hobbit houses!
Petrea, thanks. Sometimes my urge for really silly wordplay wins out and I go with it.
Thank you, everyone. I love your comments!
Until next post...
Thank you Laurie! I'm sending a big hug from Tokorozawa :D
