
I appreciate the massive trees in Garfield Park all the more now since several were lost in the recent windstorm. This one is downright inspirational, even without most of its leaves.

It just thrills me when I can look up the trunk of a tree and see it spread out like that. It's always so hopeful. What type is this one? Some sort of elm?
Since it leans to the right, Judy, it's a Republican tree. It also looks like a sycamore.
