The next time you head over to Mission in the early morning -- maybe for coffee at Great Harvest, or perhaps a class at Mission Yoga, be sure to notice the amazing shadows cast by the trees...
I'm sure everyone isn't as captivated by shadows as I am. Those and the use of diagonal line are my favorite elements of an image. Perhaps that tree has a touch of narcissism, casting itself up on that wall in order to admire itself.
You have literally opened my eyes to see new things. I have always been the book type so am amazed to look at all the things I have been missing, thanks to you and your photographer's eye.
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.
