Make mine a double

The Allee family has been visited by the Kindergarten Rhinovirus Fairy yet again, so I'm fresh out of ideas and feeling mighty cranky. Plus, it's been so long since I've been to a bar, I had to refresh my memory with this picture from my files. (It's from Carmines. Just look at how much fun you can have if you brave the Fair Oaks Avenue construction zone!)

Basically, I got nothing today, gang.

So what topic can we talk about ... Charlie Sheen? Japan? Libya? Another oil spill in the gulf? Nuclear fallout? Jeez, we could all use a drink.

Maybe a good shot of whiskey with some honey and lemon juice!!

Be well.

Alcohol does a good job of destroying the Kindergarten Rhinovirus. Even if it fails, you'll still feel better - at least for awhile.

how's the food? Never tried it though one of Mr V's x-flames from the long ago, used to wait tables here.

approach Fair Oaks by taking criss/cross actions

Carmine's is almost like two businesses. The restaurant has a good Italian menu. Good food and huge portions. Very family oriented. The bar can get pretty rowdy on Friday and Saturday nights - not the family atmosphere the restaurant has.

Carmines is still there? wow!

It is Purim...a time to get so drunk you cannot tell the difference between Mordechai and Haman...go, drink! Go back to bed!

Me? I always like something vaguely pink and girly. Cosmopolitan? That sounds good.

Love that dish with pink sauce. Can't remember the name of it. I should check out Carmines again.

Having never had to deal with the Kindergarten Rhinovirus Fairy, I don't know what to recommend!!! But a hot toddy does sound soothing!!!

Laurie...would you prefer Vashti? or Haman maybe? ;-) Tho I'd bet the virus makes you feel about as welcome as Haman!

wv: cessyneg the sound of a "sneeze" after a week with the kindergarten rhinovirus...sigh
