Chieftess, you did not just say "JF got it right, did you?" I know that you wouldn't do that because that would set me up to say, "It looks like Mike T got it wrong, again!" And I wouldn't want to do that because I'd have to spend half the day listing the things, and I've got other things to do today. But I will be making that list. Count on it!
WV: melyow. They call me melyow yellow, except at 1414 Mission.
Ugh, Mike T. Look at the link for the 1939 Cad and then look at Laurie's wonderful pic. Then look again closely. Look at the angled louvers on the bonnet, look at the length of the headlight in side view, and compare.
Then again, look how the Cad's doors open conventionally, while the Citroen has the hinge in back, and the door handle in back. Similar era, so some cues are simliar, but radically different cars.

This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

Thank you Charlie's Coffee House for hosting my photo exhibit, South Pas: Observed. From October 2011 through January 2012 my pictures graced the walls of the best place in town to get a cup of coffee!

What did you find?
"Back-seat driver."
How fab. What is that thing??? It's wonderful. Straight out of "It's a Wonderful Life."
That's a gourmet car. I don't know what it is, Judy, but it's a great car.
WV: nooked - what happens when db can't identify a car, he got "nooked"
He wishes!
Plenty of room in the back seat for your champagne and caviar.
For bean dip and beer, keep driving.
I'll take the champagne, but insert chocolate for caviar!!!
I'm thinking Raymond Chandler movies...or Cary Grant and Claudette Colbert!!!
I believe it's a 39 Cadillac
and it's there right now

Wow, that's a find. Never seen a car quite like that except in movies. Beautiful. I like all the umbrellas in this picture, too.
Hello, French restaurant, it's a French car! Citroen Traction Avant. Front wheel drive. That car has a stance fantastique.

I was about to jump in and say it's a Citreon but maybe I'm wrong.

I'll go with JF on this. Whatever it is, it's a beauty.
