Low Tech Scary

The more you look around, the more you notice signs of little ghouls getting ready for their big night. I have a new column and video at South Pasadena Patch. Check it out for more Halloween, South Pas style -- and leave a comment! Patch is turning out to be a great place for discussion and dialogue.

Even with the dramatic angle, it's hard to do anything but smile at this.

I'm at work now, but you can bet I'll check it out when I get home.

I can't seem to leave a comment at Patch. Glitch in the system, maybe. Great article and video montage!

Today I asked a native Mammothite about Halloween here in Mammoth...her first question was "Where do you live"? Apparently, the only neighborhood that does Halloween is the "Trails"...she told me I don't even need to buy a bag of candy, but, I might want to donate to the Trails candy fund...apparently, the people there in that neighborhood spend hundreds on candy because that's where all the kids go!!! They block off the streets, the parents all get together at their friend's homes in the neighborhood, and bring candy and wine!!!

THanks, you guys!

Mike, I got email from a few people saying they couldn't leave a comment at Patch earlier today. I don't know what happened, but thanks for the lovely words here! And thanks for checking out my column.

Chieftess, are you SURE you and DB don't want to head down to the Trails for the festivities? Think about it: wine and tiny packages of M&Ms!

Thank you for the lovely words, everyone. Until tomorrow...

There is a definite draw to a good cabernet and M&M's!!!

BTW...I don't think it is very clear/obvious on Patch that you have to sign up and log on in order to leave comments...that could be why people are having trouble. The first time I tried I couldn't figure it out either...of course that first column, I skipped right past your column and went straight to the pictures and couldn't figure out how to get to your article!!! Tech savy challenged!!!

wv: fudgest....cabernet and fudgest!!!

Thanks, everyone! And Chieftess, Iknow some people are confused about the Patch signup. I think there might be an email you have to activate after your first post. It would be nice if Patch allowed Open ID or anon posts but so far it's going with registration. Most news sites are the same.

you must teach me your wee video technique. Cuts, backgrounds, photo inserts, fades, music? I'm green with envy. What program did you use?
