Little Bit thinks this looks like a giant's house. (Just look at those tall doors!)

When was this building built? It wasn't until recently that anything from the 50's was referred to as mid-century modern. I don't know how it was described earlier. Perhaps:

50's giant style
the new moderne
sleek and square
no frills 50's
