Halloween is Coming (Part 5)

I've always imagined ghosts living in the old Eddie Park mansion. In my mind, they're playful, sweet and a little reckless, just like Cary Grant and Constance Bennett in the Topper films. What do you think?

I think they're impish and naughty, but in a good hearted way. Playing tricks that aren't meant to really scare, but perhaps surprise and confuse. How did you get it to look so ghostly? Oh wait, THEY did that. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha

How did you get in there? ;-)

Maybe not George and Miriam (two of my favorites, by the way), because they need more chrome and white.

So which two madcap ghosts would have all that craftsman oak. Let me think about that...

Hiker, I think maybe the family from You Can't Take it With You moved in here when they all passed on. Similarly whimsical, oddball and freespirited -- well, literally free spirited now, I guess.

Oh, but don't you LOVE the Kirbys? When I was a little girl and first saw those movies, I decided THAT was the afterlife I wanted to be a part of, not anything I learned at my Lutheran school.

I don't know which ghosts, but I love the photo.

Yes! We should write about role models sometime; they were definitely two of mine. One of my favorite Cary Grant roles. Isn't there a line in the movie, said by an old dowager, "I always wanted to be a penthouse pet."

(You Can't Take it with You. That nails it.)

Can you tell I'm avoiding a bit of writing right now?

Topper was one of my favorites growing up!!! And you're right Laurie, the Eddie Mansion is a bit to Craftsman for the Kirby's...they're much more modern Deco!!!

Definitely haunted. Don't forget the St Bernard.

Ah yes! THe St. Bernard!

HIker, I'd love to write about role models. Cool idea. So many of mine are characters from films and novels. I supposed I should throw in Albert Schweitzer or Gandhi to even it out? :-)
