I'm pretty sure these are poinsettia plants from the farm in Encinitas. I imagine they were purchased when the building was new, to brighten the home for the holidays. After the holidays, the plants were moved outside and became part of the landscape. Where they continue to brighten our town and live happily ever after. That's more of a story than a caption.
Here I am again...late, but it's never too late...?? I think it's a red coral tree - & I think it looks so beautiful against a nice but ordinary building. So, a caption: - a coral suffusion profusion??
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

The flowers raised up as far as they could in hopes of catching a few hours of sunshine until the rains came again.
I don't want to give it a title. I just want to look at it. Having said that I like Yakpates best and the red goes to San Diego Farm Girl.
