Blame it on after-holiday chores(or on the two glasses of wine with dinner) but your faithful blogger was caught unprepared for today's post. It's not that I have a lack of photographs to share. I have shots of fascinating businesses on Mission! I have shots of beautiful Craftsman homes! I have enough shots of snowy San Gabriel mountains to make everyone start singing The Sound of Music! Ehhh, but I'm uninspired by all of them.
Instead, I give you this weird little guy my daughter left on the kitchen counter last night. Who knows, maybe this is the start of a new series ... Odd Assortments? Laurie's Little Slice of South Pas? (Pictures Posted After Drinking?)
Don't worry. I'll be back to our regularly scheduled program tomorrow.

I'm curious about the GA on the far right. Is that part of the Galloway Crest of Arms? Or maybe part of a label of Gallo wine, another favorite here!?
HEE HEE - I did a series of those after my visit. There is just something so whimsical about the little guy. I named him Lester.
The thumbnail made me laugh out loud! Love the robot!
But, he's such a cute little guy....
Oh, I think this photo is very South Pas! Any kid who plays with retro robots is well on her way to SoPas hipsterhood. The rice cooker tells me you're in the San Gabriel Valley, and the chianti tells me you're closer to Old Town Pas than Rosemead.
What's that silver appliance? Do I need one? :o)
Looks like Gumby meets the Transformers.
Looks like our little green man has had a nip or two himself.
Hey, I put my vote in for a weekly LA slice of life. It's nice to throw a curve ball.
Farmgirl, you crack me up. Well, the robot DID come from Fair Oaks PHarmacy! (They have a great selection of retro toys...) As to the silver appliance, it's just the bowl for my mixer.
And Shanna, it's Gabbianno chianti -- not that Old Town, Farmgirl, it's $8 a bottle at Ralphs in Alhambra!
Thanks for allowing a little diversion, everyone.
Awesome - keep the series going!
At first glance I thought this was a life-size robot... it's just too impressive to be a miniature!
Little Bit's imagination, which has NEVER needed stimulation. certainly has found the right environment in which to flourish!
yea, drink be merry and shoot more robots!
Girl, if it weren't for wine, I'd have no damn blogs.
Lil Bit is spot on!

I'm throwing my hat in for an appliance shot. Just have a feeling that Laurie's place looks like Williams Sonoma.
I think the green robot is fabulous! Maybe you should drink regularly ;D
Is that robot made of metal? Very cool. I like the way the photo includes the portion of the bottle that you drank!
Howdy again all,
Yup, Mr. E, Little Bit's robot is a wind-up metal one, like something out of an old Twilight Zone. I love that thing. (Especially when he turns up in weird places around the house. My kid inherited her Daddy's trickster gene.)
AH, Williams Sonoma? Not exactly... although I do have pretty sweet Fisher & Paykel stainless dual drawer dishwashers that came with the house. My mixer is pretty cool, too but my coffee pot is a bargain Mr. Coffee. We drop far too many coffee carafes to ever buy another expensive one.
So the votes are in... I should drink more! Well, alrighty then! :-) Next up -- things found in my laundry hamper...
Maybe not.
Til tomorrow!
The Twilight Zone meets Williams-Sonoma....
When Little Bit outgrows NP 5357 can I have him?
PA, no way! That little robot is part of the family! (But you can get one just like him at Fair Oaks Pharmacy...)
