Calm After the Storm

Clouds parted briefly yesterday around 4:45 ... just in time for magic hour. Isn't it amazing how blue the sky looks after a week of rain?

Judy Williams said...: Oh goodness!! I think this is heavenly. The dark trees and wet road with those glorious clouds. Those are the clouds Michaelangelo put on the Cistine Chapel!! Laurie Allee said...: I was so excited to see blue sky that I had to grab Little Bit and drive up into the hills to see if I could get a mountain snow shot. It was still too stormy for that -- though, I've never seen that much snow on the Pasadena hills so I'm going to head out soon and see what I can shoot.

But what I did see yesterday was the cool juxtaposition of a darkened street with a dramatic, almost stained glass effect to the sky. (I can't wait to see what Shanna, the sky master, posts over at her blog.); January 23, 2010 at 10:17 AM

This clean sky is our reward for repeating that California mantra, "we can really use the rain."
