Maybe it's just a 1920s river rock porch but I think this spooky entryway is a portal to another dimension. (But where?)

It reminds me of Harry Potter. You have a fertile imaginative mind, Laurie.
Oh I don't think it's spooky at all. It almost has a Hansel and Gretel feel to it for me. Plus it reminds me of the wonderful 19' fireplace we had at a previous house. I love the way the shadows dance and weave a lacy design on the sidewalk.
That house almost has a one eyed face. ;)
I agree with Judy. A one-eyed face and lacy shadows. I smell gingerbread. Not spooky to me. A Monopoly game is spread out on a large table. A fire is glowing in the fireplace and hot chocolate is comin' up. Anyone care to join me?
I see a skewed face with an open-mouthed expression of horror in this portal.
I don't see Hansel and Gretel... wasn't the witch's plan to roast them in the oven?
Instead, I see the Portal of Responsibility which every parent must enter upon the birth of a child... the entrance to a realm that is simultaneously Terrifying and Awesome and Gingerbread Sweet. Or so my mommy and daddy friends tell me...
Wonderful woodwork on the balcony. Green and Greenish
pssst: don't forget to visit Sweetie the fox over in another dimension
You kind of stacked the deck with the B/W. Yak is right, it is a face, but one eye is missing.
looks like a giant one eyed head and it's screaming OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH
Because of the texture of the one-eyed head, I see it as a toad or a snake.
YES!
Thank you for convincing me I'm not crazy for always seeing faces in things. (Or for at least convincing me that I'll have all of you to keep me company in the loony bin...)
Ken, you saw exactly what I did. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
And with that, I'll catch up with all of you tomorrow. Until then!
As Sigmund Freund said, "Sometimes a house is a one-eyed snake face, and sometimes a house is just a house."
Hee hee!
This might be my favorite house in town. I just walked by it today.
Where is it?
