Toyota Farm to Table Tour

Yesterday, the South Pasadena Farmers Market played host to the Toyota Farm to Table Tour. The Tour has been bringing together chefs and farmers all over the country to celebrate local growers and regional cuisine.

Nine of our region's most beloved chefs teamed up with area farmers to create free samples of everything from curried cauliflower to strawberry shortcake. Here, coolest of the cool Chef Kyu Yi (back row, center) and his awesome crew serve up delicacies from Gus's BBQ.

Update: You can see a few of my shots of the Raymond's chef Tim Guiltinan at the Toyota Farm to Table Blog.

Why do I forget things that I've written down?

OH man. I wish I'd been there. We have a new Farmers Market starting up in May, so now I'll have two a week to check out. WOO HOO!

I was there last night. Man, the food! I think I saw you shooting pictures. Your hair was up and you had on black boots with a killer Nikon camera?

I test drove a new Toyota. Cool event. Would like to see more of this from our local chefs.

Green Guy, that was me! Unless there was another Nikon-weilding, boot-wearing photographer there that I didn't see.

It was a very, very cool event and the market was PACKED. I didn't get a chance to sample the goodies, though. (Chef Tim Guiltinan from The Raymond was cooking up scallops that will haunt my dreams. Wow, they looked good.)

Kudos to The Chamber of Commerce and market manager Greta Dunlap for turning our already-great Farmers Market into something even more wonderful.

Hey - nice blog, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I'm currently using Wordpress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it? .
