Peter Pan would be envious.

"Me and My Shadow" was the theme song of entertainer Ted Lewis, who used to say "Is everybody happy?" Ted Lewis (Theodore Friedman) was my grandmother's first cousin. She actually lived with his family for a few years when she was a child. He was a bandleader, a clarinet player, and a vaudevillian who always wore a black top hat.

Wow, I really love this.

That is a cool story, Mr. Earl.

Little known fact, unless I've been misinformed, is that Mr. Davis's mom was Cuban.

According to Wiki, Sammy's mother was indeed Cuban, but he told people she was Puerto Rican because he thought the Cuban connection would hurt record sales. Funny, I could have sworn his mother was Jewish. :-)
