looks like Nash design to me. 1949 50? ish? Not sure, haven't ever seen one in person and don't have time to research this afternoon.
puuuuurty tho!
I'd take the green one, less likely to be pulled over, right? ;-)
Bet it does purr too.
How about it DB, get us out of the pokey for taking them for a spin???? They ARE too pretty to be just, you know, SITTING THERE, asking to be driven!!!
wv: titsb resserves...makes me wonder what the tits"a" had in resserves!
I'm guessing they're Hudsons, but I'm not sure. I don't think I'll help you get out of the pokey, because I'll be busy driving one and trying to avoid getting caught myself. A couple of beautiful classics.
Good call, Dan. They are Hudsons, approximately 1950. Just confirmed it with a Google search. Definitely not Nashes. My grandfather had a Nash in the early 50s. Had its own distinct look.
Yes, it was a 1949 Hudson Commodore in the movie. It didn't have that triangle shape on the grill, however, which makes me think these are 1950. (There's a website with photos of all the cars used in Driving Miss Daisy.)

This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

Thank you Charlie's Coffee House for hosting my photo exhibit, South Pas: Observed. From October 2011 through January 2012 my pictures graced the walls of the best place in town to get a cup of coffee!

You crossed the border into Pasadena! Looking for some good food?
Man, what are those? And twins no less.
I'll take a spin in the red one!!!
Ok, I'll take the green then. DB, can you pull some strings when Chieftess and I both get arrested for auto theft, hahaha!

A 1950 Nash Ambassador looked like a bumper car at an amusement park!
They look like the first car driven by Morgan Freeman in Driving Miss Daisy. That was a '49 Hudson I believe.

Because of its high power to weight ratio, the Hudson Hornet dominated NASCAR from 1951-1954!
It's so fun that we find out about these cars from the cool commenters here!
Michelle, I definitely have the coolest commenters! :-) XOXO
Gonna hafta fight me for that red one. Then I'll get charged with assault as well as grand theft auto. Damn.
I agree about cool commenters here. I lurk every day. ;)
I' am joining in this fight! Either one will do for me!!
