In this case, the words of the prophets are written on...

...the bathroom walls. (I guess we just don't have enough subways in Southern California.)

So many memories...

About bathroom walls...When Dick and I were in grad school at the Univ. of Iowa - he in the Writer's Workshop - the bathroom walls were alive with graffiti. I remember especially at Kenny's Bar ( there were not many places to go in Iowa City, but that was a real spot). Such CREATIVE graffiti.

... i think it's great, and thank you, for your observation of "the words of the prophets" which i find very accurate; what an awesome musical link, too! Reminded me of a line in a poem i wrote coming home from Long Beach on the Blue Line years ago:
"... our bible rewritten daily/ in sacred multicolored aerosol glyphs/ (but no one's listening to these prophets)"
Anyway, thanks again ... and, no, we do not have enough subways in southern california.

Good advice to start the day, then go onto love others ;-)

I agree with hugO- in reference to the Simon and Garfunkel song "the words of the profits are written on the subway walls."

One of my favorites is still the collaborative words of two, written in the girls' bathroom at a dorm at Texas Tech University. In green marker were the words: Jesus Saves and in black were added At First National Bank of Lubbock.

...written on Subway's bathroom walls?
Wait, I can't recall if Subway has toilets.
