Laurie, I heard people talking about your Rialto posts at Kaldi. Everyone loves your hard hitting and a sense of humor style. Why don't you host a fundraiser?
THanks, everyone. Shanna, I've wanted to start raising funds since the Rialto went dark a few years ago, but there have been legal roadblocks.
Trust me, I'll keep all of you up to date on new developments. And if there's a chance to raise money for this beautiful theater, you can bet I'll be the loudest, most persistent one asking for donations!
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

I'm in central Mississippi and our dogwoods and azaleas are exploding. It's my favorite time of the year as far as that goes.
