Nice photo. Great gate. Not exactly sure where it is. The Ella song is what some folks call "Jump Blues." "Blue Bayou" is a great song co-written by Roy Orbison. In baseball, a fastball is sometimes called a "Ronstadt" because it "blew by you."
Oh, that's my favorite shade of blue. It's a bright yet deep blue you see throughout Norway. Lovely photo, the way the cream-yellow of the wall and the red bouganvilla enhance the blue.

I was wondering if you would show this one, it might be my favorite residential gate. I like this series.
another Monterey Hills gate!
Mr. Earl, it's on Camino Lindo, near the intersection with Alpha.
My favorite gate, too. Love this series.
Great clip, Karin.
Love the gate!!! Love Hoagie Carmichael and Lauren Bacall!!!
Looks like the same blue Freda Kahlo painted her house in the Coyoacan neighborhood of Mexico City. I looooove it!
How beautiful!
Wow! Looks like they just put a fresh coat of paint on the gate.
I've really been enjoying your gates, Laurie.
Thanks, everyone!
BTW, I love Bacall/Carmichael as much as I love this gate...
cobalt blue. I wish my minimalist neighbors had appreciated my bouganvillia like your blog audience does
