The History of Glimpses
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

Happy Thanksgiving from one member of the American CDP community to another!
AWWWWW. That hat really looks authentic. I'm bustling about preparing for a meal that lasts 25 minutes. But I am happy that I won't cook again the rest of the week.
I'm thankful the the internet and it's ability to connect all of us together. Cheers!!
I'm about to start the pumpkin soup, but I need coffee to get rolling.
Little Bit was so proud of her REAL Pilgrim hat at her kindergarten pageant. (But she really wanted to wear one of the boys' construction paper black ones with a yellow buckle. Way to buck the system there, kiddo!)
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. And if anyone actually eats Turducken, you'd better let me know. I still think that's hilarious.
