I think it's safe to say that I've got nothing for this one. Thanksgiving wore me out, I'm fresh out of interesting post ideas, and sometimes you just gotta go with a picture of a scary doll left on the floor near the bathroom. (Trust me. You do NOT want to run into this in the middle of the night. Shudder.)
Obviously, we're in the middle of a horror movie...
One time, back around 1968, my friend Drew Takahashi and I went to the Good Will. We picked up a plastic doll and converted her into a hookah pipe. You put the water into the body. The head, held upside down in her lap, was where the bowl went. It was inspired by the Beatles' Butcher Cover. We put a little American flag in her hand and named her Dusk. Thanks for letting me share. ;-)
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.
