Brisk winds. Rain showers. Nights in the upper 30s. I actually wore my coat outside for two days in a row. It might not be this, but for Southern California it sure feels like winter.

The History of Glimpses
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

It doesn't look nearly as cold as you describe. We had sleet on Thanksgiving night and I awoke to white stuff in the crook of every neighbor's roof!!! Heh, at least it feels like Christmastime.

You got this at a beautiful angle, and the color in the dark clouds is great. I agree - it is cold. I think sipping on sunlight most of the year keeps my blood a little thin.

20 degrees outside at 11 am. South Pasadena is downright balmy.
But which town has the best Police Chief?
We were in Austin when the cold front hit. It was 80 degrees, then it was 40 degrees. Now Jim knows what a "Norther" is.
