If you do your grocery shopping at the Ralphs on Huntington, surely you have noticed this rather abstract bit of tagging on the fence across the street. I think it looks like a dragon. Little Bit thinks it looks like a seahorse. Your thoughts?

Puff the Magic Dragon. :)
I think I will go along with Little Bit.
LB is right. Or it could be a dog or a cartoon lion or tiger with a very long tail.
I think I see a Genie floating on a cloud!
A seahorse with the face of Scooby Doo
I think it used to be a gas station
I initially had the same thought as Judy - Puff the Magic Dragon. But Susan's right - the face is Scooby Doo, but it's definitely a dragon - the tail gives it away. So, it's Scooby Doo the Magic Dragon.
Yes, PA, this used to be a gas station. It's now a car wash under construction. They ran out of money several months ago, so it sits as an eyesore at one of the portals to South Pasadena. Sadly, the abandoned Gino's restaurant on the west and the unfinished car wash on the east side of town are ugly bookends. Gino's is going to be torn down soon, which will be an improvement.
I hate to see a family rift over this... How about "sea dragon" or "dragon horse?"
I immediately saw Scooby Doo...and I'll agree with the dragon tail...yep...I think Scooby Doo the Magic Dragon works for me!!!
I saw a dragon right off the bat but I couldn't help thinking of a Jay Leonhart song, God Fearing Boy. One verse goes:
But it seems his free associations
All dwelt on conjugal relations
They gave him Rorschach Tests
And all the poor boy saw were breasts.
I was going to post a witty retort about puff the magic scooby...when a friend stopped by, saw the pic on my computer and said "that's a VERY "happy" Scooby on that fencing!".
and after we finished lol'ing, I lost my train of thought!
I'm going with LB of course!!! And I'll bet Wayne has seen breasts on every single Rorschach he's ever done!
I saw a seahorse before even reading that Little Bit saw it too.
Totally Scooby-Doo!
Yes, it really does look like Scooby Do, but with green scales. So is Scooby Do the Magic Dragon about marijuana?
Wayne and Virg: Reminds me of the psychiatrist who gave a Rorschach test to a fellow who saw nothing in the shapes but naked women and couples having sex. The psychiatrist said, "You know, you're a real pervert!" "Me?" said the fellow, "You're the one with all the dirty pictures."
Many years ago, Mr. Earl, I had to take a Rorschach test to get a job. I got some advice beforehand that I should never identify anything sexual or violent. When I took the test, all I could see bugs and monsters fighting or having sex. I lied and came up with a bunch of crazy stuff. The guy sitting next to me was struggling - he was having a difficult time writing anything. Afterwards he asked me what I saw and I told him about all the BS I'd written. I asked him the same question and he responded, "I didn't see anything but a bunch of f...ing ink blots.
I got hired. I never saw the guy again.
I took a lie detector test for a job once. I told the fellow administering the test that I was an artist. That got him all worked up and he proceeded to go into a rant over Van Gogh whom he considered a hack. This guys artistic outlet was carving ducks. I thought he was a quack (get it?)
yeah, I didn't get the job
PA: Were the ducks anesthetized before he carved them? Maybe he spatchcocked them, but was afraid to say so.
DB: Hmmm. I wonder what your results revealed? I don't know how they interpret those things. They probably know that all the pictures are about sex or violence, but want to see how creative those who've been warned can be with their answers.
I love love love LOVE LURRRRRRRRVE you guys!
The happy Scooby is too funny. How did I miss it?
Great work today, gang. Now I am going to start looking for more environmental inkblots. Your interpretations are fab.
Until tomorrow...
