Almost June, and the mountains still have a little snow...
Are we sure summer is just around the corner?

I saw a national map yesterday and there was snow in the Rockies too. I've been wearing shorts and flip flops for months!!
What trees are those? I like their little pointy spires directing us to the sky.
Ooooh, lovely photo - it could be northern Italy, perhaps around Lake Como, with the Alps in the background. Where were you standing?
Of course summer is right around the corner. Al Gore says so.
Mammoth still has 7-12 feet of snow following one of their heaviest snowfalls ever. The slopes will be open until
July 4. I don't remember having so much snow on our mountains this late in the season.
Nice photo.
Italian cypress. But they look like tines on a fork sticking out of a giant bite of salad. Ice cream for later.
It's the "winter that never ends"!!!
I was up in the high country Sunday. Stopped the car and witnessed three snowflakes the size of a grain of salt. I haven't seen snow actually fall in twenty years.

a photography question...
are 35mm cameras basically unusable due to the need of film processing? is it possible to transfer 35mm shots into digital.. or is it really cost prohibited? I have old Nikon's my daughter wants to use for a SPHS photo class but I didn't know if it was a good idea. thanks
Anonymous...you can still process film, though it's getting harder and harder to find...once processed, if you want to digitize, you can either have a cd made when processing, which increases the price, or scan the photo, if you have access to a photo scanner...I'd check with SPHS about what they're recommending for the class...they may be teaching photoshop/computer processing along with basic photography...you'll want to ask about whether they are ok with a point and shoot or a camera with control over the aperture, shutter, etc...
Judy and i are on the same.....something or other. I've been in flip flops forever too. Now on my 3 mile walk, I'm sweatin' with the oldies. Lord have mercy the humidity is killing me.

PS Sorry LA, Love this photo although those pointy things are disconcerting.
must have been a good day for these trees. Bellis noticed that I posted an image with them too.
