Happy Birthday, Judy. Great photo, Laurie, capturing the magic.

Congratulations, Laurie, on your well-deserved whatchamacallit. You have become one of the valuable assets of South Pasadena. You are one of the pillars of the SGV blogging community and a voice of reason, hope, and appreciation of this (mostly) wonderful little town we have here.

This internet is a powerful tool. How powerful it is here in South Pasadena we don't fully know yet. We've certainly used it to speak out on some of the problems we see, and we'll be using it more and more as we go forward. You are right at the center of it all.

Inspired by you and others, we've really created a little community within the SGV community. It's been a privilege to get to know you and Jon and Little Bit (and Judy, and Dixie Jane from afar). It was right here that I met a character called DBW who invited me to put on a suit and hear you speak at a Rotary meeting. Little did I know where that was going to lead!
It was here that I met many of the other bloggers who have now become friends - good people who want to bring a little more beauty, a little more reason, and a little more humor into this crazy world.

Mazal Tov, my friend! (That's Chinese for "Don't let the bastards get you down.")

She's always been my role model.

Congratulations on your well-deserved Image Award.

I echo everything Mr. Earl says except for his interpretation of Mazal Tov.

You have been an inspiration for more people than you realize. Your photography and writing are both top notch, and you are an exceptional friend. You truly are a positive image for the good people of South Pasadena and no one deserves it more than you.

Mazal Tov is Bulgarian for "Off with their Heads!" "Illegitimus non-carborundum" is Latin for Don't let the bastards wear you down."

Happy Birthday Judy!

Thanks, you guys. I'm flabbergasted by this turn of events. It's a huge honor, and I'm not quite sure I'm up there with former winners. Not yet, anyway. Give me a lifetime in South Pas to add my voice to those of so many great people and good causes and maybe I'll measure up. I'm humbled about all of this.

Happy Birthday, Judy, from me as well. South Pas already has a Jane Apostol Day. I'm hoping they'll also have a Laurie Day.

Karin: She's been a role model to you in everything, other than her short physical stature.

Laurie/Judy: Someone stole someone's thunder today. Is that the story of your lives? ;-)

HAHAHA I'm thunderous with hurrays today. Laurie's recently announced award is like an extra present!

Yes, that's Little Bit and I running in the park over by the walking man sculpture. I know it has a name, but I can't remember. The one kitty corner from Busters.

I should have said Little Bit and me.

Thanks everyone for your warm wishes. :)
