Wish I could have stayed for the festivities today. Hubby will be working, so it won't be nearly as fun here as it is there!!! Tell Little Bit to have fun in the parade.
Sounds like Judy left town without meeting the Earl. If you stick around toward the end of the parade, you just might see Mr. Earl.
We have a nice Fourth of July celebration, but it doesn't compare with South Pasadena's. It starts with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Lions Club. But, instead of being in the Fire Station, it's in a parking lot. Then we have the freedom mile race followed by the parade at 11. It's a longer route which means you can't ride in it twice like I did one year in South Pasadena. After the parade is the Pops in the Park concert. Since we're in the middle of a National Forest, we have to drive to Crowley Lake for the Fireworks show.
While TheChief is patrolling the parade route, Kelly and I will be joining my friend Joanne, her puppy Diego and an Olympian in the parade...yep!!! I'm still riding in those darned parades!!! Then off to the concert in the park...have a great parade South Pasadena!!! Happy Fourth!!!
Mr. Earl will be part of the WISPPA umbrella drill team.
Nice pic. I googled to find some parade info and found your blog and the helpful link to the flyer. There is still time to make it to opening ceremonies. Thanks!
Ha, I'm just hanging in the studio trying to get some good painting up
Happy 4th - fireworks are the best when your a kid. Maybe I'll make that track across Ave 64 up to the top of Church hill and watch everyones fireworks
Hope everyone had a great day!
We marched with the girl scouts. Little Bit was one of MANY Brownies.
Great fun.
