Noir Week (#7)

What? You think I'd do an entire noir series and not pretend, just once, that I'm Barbara Stanwyck or Veronica Lake? Ha! Give me a blast of afternoon sunlight and a camera self timer and suddenly I imagine detectives and danger and deep mysteries. Where's my scotch, damn it?

And now, I leave behind Noir Week. Thanks for indulging my dark side.

This is a beautiful, old school forties shot. Well done.

This was a fantastic series, Laurie. I've really enjoyed seeing the town through a noir lens! Raymond Chandler would be proud.

Thanks, you wonderful and flattering people! You named some pretty amazing, kick-ass women!

Forgive me for hamming it up but since nobody will pose for me I take a lot of self portraits!

I had fun with these noir shots, particularly the series of night photos. I haven't been out prowling much at night lately and I always love the result. Thanks again, Jude, for letting me play with YOUR brand new camera while you were here!

And thanks, everyone.

Is it too late to pipe in with Anna Karina? Ringer for her in the Godard days. She was his muse if you recall. You really look a lot like her.

Great series.

Oh, welcome Ben the Film Guy! You mentioned one of my favorites in Anna K. Looove those French New Wave actresses.

Beautiful black and white image! I like the 2 white "fou-fou" ceiling lamps and the look out the window, bringing the outdoors inside.
