I figured we could all use a break from power outage updates and pictures of destruction. How's this for a beautiful bird's eye view from Pasadena looking toward South Pas? (And just look at those hundreds upon hundreds of beautiful trees still standing tall and strong!)
Speaking of views. The strangest thing...I'm ashamed to say it, but the recent loss of trees on my street has improved my view. I can now see a peek a boo view of the Goldline up against the Monterey hills.
btw: I'm stumped <- (a tree word) where is this vantage point?
Silver lining here too: The big eucalyptus behind my next door neighbor's house, that went down, was right in the path that our satellite dishes aim at. Not that it was a serious problem, but now, it's not an issue at all!
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.
