It all evens out...
A friend in New York called me on my cell phone the other day. She had just ducked into a cafe to warm up before walking to the subway in a snowstorm. I had just sat down on the bench in this picture. Remind me of moments like this when it's 105 this summer and we haven't had rain in two months.

Sometimes the nicest moments are the most simple.
What a nice reprieve from the snow and ice pictures on the news. Even here in Austin we have 18 degrees with 0 chill factor. Snow is predicted. Some of this would come in handy come August.
Love the slight blur of the shadow below the chair. Hee hee - maybe a springy sprite is flying by.
Cold here, like Mom said. Brrrr - wind chills near 0. That's pretty crazy for Central Texas. I do hope it snows though. I love to take photos and the kids sure enjoy it since it happens so infrequently.
I know how your friend in New York feels. We are in Philly and I can tell you Summer cannot come soon enough. Our count down to our South Pasadena move continues!
I found you from Twitter. I love your tweets! Had no idea you were a photographer as well as a writer. Great blog!!!
We've had nothing but sunshine for a month...well, one teensy weensy little snow fall on Sunday, but otherwise, totally spring snow conditions here...remind me when it's snowing like crazy again!!!
Soooo inviting!
That wrought iron bench is sooooo photogenic against the greener than green grass! It's a wonderful fresh February day!
Colette: Where do you live in Philly? My niece went to Haverford. Have you lived in California before?
