Nice shot. Love the two patches of light and the lamp.
Is that a real rotary phone, and do you use it? The alarm clock: I have one of those! My mom had it and I used it all through high school. It has a light that flashes instead of a sound alarm. Still have it, though the motor stopped working several years ago. The flashing light was a killer to wake up to. I think it taught me to anticipate alarms and wake up before they go off. The only other one I've ever seen was in the move Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
This is FANTASTIC!! I love how it weaves a story. Is someone missed who used to sleep there? Is it late evening and the bed is waiting for its usual sleeper to return? The two lamps on either side of the window, with their low glow, really add a nice bit of symmetry. I just LOVE IT!! (having slept there several times, it makes me smile)
Earl, this phone is a repro -- Pottery Barn, I think -- but with a great old-timey bell ring. There is something weird about having a 110 year old house with an electronic phone ringer. The clock is one of the moon clocks you know about. Love that light!

Thank you Charlie's Coffee House for hosting my photo exhibit, South Pas: Observed. From October 2011 through January 2012 my pictures graced the walls of the best place in town to get a cup of coffee!

What I'd give for this tranquil little spot just about now!!!
I've always got a sleeping cat nearby and I've been known to stick the fan in the window on a sunny summer day
Thanks, guys!
