If Santa lives here perhaps the name should be South Pole instead of South Pasadena. South Pole is every as peaceful and quiet as the North Pole, but with out all the snow and bitter cold.
I always put flowers on my Christmas trees too. Here we have a pink tree trunk, a red house, a purple street light and a yellow fire hydrant. So colorful and Santa is so lucky to spend his summers in South Pasadena. Thsnks Little Bit for making us aware.
I think I have a picture of this same gentleman eating lunch at the Buffalo Inn in Montclair...he must be Santa...Santa lives everywhere our hearts are open to him!!!!
In December of 2007, after many years on the west side of Los Angeles (and at least a third of those years spent stuck in traffic on Pico Boulevard) my family settled into a happy little house in South Pasadena. This daily blog covered almost 5 years as I put down roots in my new home town -- and almost 5 more as I settled in and became a South Pas old-timer. Here it is...my time capsule of South Pasadena.

Thank you Charlie's Coffee House for hosting my photo exhibit, South Pas: Observed. From October 2011 through January 2012 my pictures graced the walls of the best place in town to get a cup of coffee!

I don't think he could pick a better place!
I think your daughter's a hoot.
Children's observations are so innocent yet so astute. This is terrific and I like the balance of the Santa in opposition to the yellow fire hydrant.
Santa lives in South Pasadena
Not Burbank or Altadena
He wears Nike's
and an old straw hat
and it took a child
to figure out that!

I think it's a good bet! (But he probably spends most of the year on the Christmas project.)
Hi gang,
Welcome, Happy Garg!
I was so delighted by Little Bit's observation about this gentleman -- and almost didn't get the shot. (For the record: Santa moves FAST!)
Thanks for the lovely comments and observations, everyone. Until tomorrow.....
Why you tell LIttle Bit that he sure does and he's watching and seeing what a good girl she's been!

See, my mom would have said "Yes, it is Santa ... he's FOLLOWING YOU because he heard you've been NAUGHTY!" haha

Tell Dixie Jane to run on over to my blog and clear up this "no chow chow in Texas" thang! HA
