Grasping at (yellow) straws...
Have the sun's rays become frozen behind a fence in this South Pas alleyway? Whatever they are, the yellow posts provided a bit of unexpected cheer on yet another gloomy, overcast day.

I love it when I get to leave the first comment: amazing, isn't it, how ordinary items we normally wouldn't notice become extraordinary when painted an unexpected color?
Guess that's the reason we dyed our hair blue, green and Fuchsia in the eighties!
This is truly a mystery. Were the posts there before the fence or after? They don't look thick enough to be the kind of posts that are used to block errant cars. They're too substantial to have been markers used to line up the fence. Maybe they're some sort of useless project distracting the city from other matters. The posts definitely look "gumitic" (WV) to me, but only because of their color.
I'll take any bit of color right now. Or maybe I'll be pretentious and spell it colour.
Apparently WV is in favor of orange hair: Proates.
Hey, it's flag day. So flag somebody down, and give them some flowers!
Wonder how many times careless drivers have backed into that fence? Or were you loitering around McDonalds again? haha
You may be right, Farmgirl.
The fence appears to be new, Mr. Earl. And, I think you're correct that the posts are too thin to protect the fence from cars. Perhaps the yellow posts are gravemarkers for grasshoppers that made the mistake of munching on Laurie's pineapple sage.
Or, any other ideas why they are there?
This is quite the conundrum...interesting that the dirt looks recently turned and the lovely and bright sunshiny yellow paint looks new...
When I first looked at the photo, I saw the bright yellow, and the repetition of the poles...not thinking of the depth of meaning that could be ascribed to the reality of that which has been photographed...
It's just too early in the morning (anytime before noon) for me to think philosophically...I think I need to chew on this awhile!!!
Hey kids,
Nope, it's not anywhere near Mickie Ds. It's in an alley in teh MIssion district. I'm as stumped as you guys!
Mission WEST district. (I need more coffee today.)
Hmmmmmm, Laurie's got something there....I haven't had any coffee!!!! "All things in their time" as Annamaria said to Odd Thomas in the Odd Hours by Dean Koontz...a fine foray into the mindlessness of today's literature!!!!
Yellow, the first line of Da Fence.
Thanks, everyone! I love the way your minds work! Until tomorrow...
Photos have come really nice...
I like this blog..
Thanks for sharing...
