Hmmmm.
I know art is subjective, and lawn art in particular obeys its own unruly rules, and I'm not saying this isn't pretty or anything...
...but didn't the ancient Romans put the heads of their enemies on fence spikes as a sign of warning?
Maybe I'm overanalyzing.

Right you are. I won't tell you what the Mayans used to do.
Still chuckling form the previous comment. . . what a concatenation.
The Queen of Hearts in Alice and Wonderland said "Off with their heads" and that came into mine the moment I saw this, despite the wonderful architecture and terrific vantage point. Also the three headed dog in Hairy Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. LOL Funny how one image leads your thoughts into another one. But isn't that how the human brain works? :~)
Laurie, that never would have occurred to me. I was hoping you were fishing for captions because I think I could have finally come up with something.

Come on, Karin, let's have a caption!

WV: Pernetti, who I think live in that house.
C'mon, hiker. Let's have a caption!
Yes, the Romans did...I was a "Roman" in school and it is one of the lovely things I learned about the group.
"I TOLD you not to pi$$ me off or I'd put you on a post!"
Hats are a problem, but I have no trouble multi-tasking.
got your back
You go your way and I'll go mine
All right you 4 faced turkey, who

Second thoughts
It's not you, it's me
It's complicated.
Oh this is nothing. I've got another up my a**.
Wonderful, Karin!
I'll bet it took a lot of "slontst" to come up with those. And you certainly have it!
I knew I could count on you people. Altadenahiker, you win a special prize. (I'll work on it...)
Until tomorrow!
I told you she was two-faced!
Gives a whole new meaning to "high forehead."
