South Pasadena Fourth of July Festival of Balloons

There is no way that anyone in South Pasadena could possibly be reading this blog post right now ... because half the town is in the parade and the other half is watching it!

Start early with the 7:00AM Kiwanis Club Pancake Breakfast at the fire station, watch the parade starting at 1100AM on Mission and end the day with fireworks at 9:00PM at the high school. For full details on all the day's events, locations and times: click here.

Wish I could have stayed for the festivities today. Hubby will be working, so it won't be nearly as fun here as it is there!!! Tell Little Bit to have fun in the parade.

Sounds like Judy left town without meeting the Earl. If you stick around toward the end of the parade, you just might see Mr. Earl.

We have a nice Fourth of July celebration, but it doesn't compare with South Pasadena's. It starts with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Lions Club. But, instead of being in the Fire Station, it's in a parking lot. Then we have the freedom mile race followed by the parade at 11. It's a longer route which means you can't ride in it twice like I did one year in South Pasadena. After the parade is the Pops in the Park concert. Since we're in the middle of a National Forest, we have to drive to Crowley Lake for the Fireworks show.

Nice pic. I googled to find some parade info and found your blog and the helpful link to the flyer. There is still time to make it to opening ceremonies. Thanks!
