Here's the Deal...

There was a perfect 1940s green roadster driving right here. The blue sky! The pink tree! Those fluffy white clouds! It was a picture made in heaven and I could not stop smiling. I couldn't tell the model of the car because I was trying to keep one hand on the road while using the other hand to grab at the Lumix in my purse in a mad scramble to capture the moment. The roadster sped up and just as I was about to, um, ease through the stop sign, I noticed one of South Pasadena's finest in my rear view mirror.

He was not smiling.

Needless to say, I missed the roadster. So, just use your imagination.

That's ok. What Altadena Hiker has on her blog today more than makes up for it.

Man, that is amazing. What a gorgeous palette of colors. The red truck with the wrapped furniture is a hopeful sign that someone is getting some comfy stuff for his/her house.

I just want to say I love your blog.... I stop by frequently, and have lurked for several months. I also live in South Pasadena, near Old Town, and drive a green British roadster, though mine is from the 60s. ;) I won't take credit, or blame, for your ticket but I am sure I would have loved seeing that car. Either way, thanks for the all the amazing shots and truly suffering for your art at the hands of South Pas' finest.

Did you get a ticket?

Nick: South Pasadena is not "near Old Town" except in the most general sense. I hope you're not confusing South Pasadena with the southern part of Pasadena. ;-)
