The bike in the shot just makes it for me. Notice how the building looks like it is also enjoying a treat - with the plants in the window boxes below his "mouth." :~)

My, I do love this picture. Happy, happy, happy. It seems to be saying, "Aw, it's Christmas!"

Such a 'guy' shot - perfect! I can picture my brother being one of these guys. Thanks for the colorful capture of a moment in time!

Those guys are going to rush to Victoria's Secret on the 24th and get something ridiculously unwearable. Which brings me to something I've often wondered about - If there were only men in the world, would they still have Christmas? I suspect they'd do away with most of the trappings - and with housework and ironing as well.

A photo sure to generate envy -- such a SoCal winter scene.

Those guys spent all their Christmas money on bike equipment. Some of these older guys have some very expensive state-of-the-art graphite titanium bikes!

Mister E -- you should see Jon's collection of bikes!

These guys are retired so they do their shopping during the weekdays...no fighting the weekend Christmas shopping hordes for them when it's much more fun and satisfying to bike to Kaldi's for a great cup o' joe!!!

I really like this shot Laurie!!! the blue and yellow of their bike clothes really brighten the shot...

That's a great shot that shows the texture of the bricks on the side of Kaldi's very well. Kaldi's was originally the Bank of South Pasadena. Now it's where older bicyclists, bohemians, and other groups meet to drink coffee and solve world problems. One of my favorite paintings is of this view, but from the Library park across the street, that was purchased at the plein air art show a year ago.

Good for them! I think I'm only halfway through!

Love the brickwork.

I wish you a Merry Christmas, Laurie and a Happy and Prosperous New Year for you and your family.

Thank you so much, everyone. I'm frazzled with last minute Christmas shopping, wrapping and general running-around-like-a-deranged-elf. I could use a Kaldi break!

More tomorrow. Until then!

Really wonderful photo, L. That's what winter in LA area is all about.
