These curved steps, which appear to float, have an organic quality, as if they sprouted overnight like mushrooms.
You have an incomparable eye for the magical and unexpected!
Another award winning photo Laurie, you do have a great eye and ability to capture the artistic version of the subject.
I zoomed in to take a closer look. I scrolled to the bottom 4 steps which appear as a single abstract form. Also makes me wonder about the poor person who has to tend the lawn around these steps.

So I'll try again. I love this shot and it looks so much like work by minimalist sculptor, Donald Judd. Really. I just googled him and the Wikipedia picture is so similar except that these steps are curvy and lyrical.

I fell in love with these stairs when I saw them leading up to my friend's front door. I can't say that I've ever seen any like them other than in a Busby Berkeley musical number!

The very mention of Fred and Ginger makes my heart soar. As a youth I dreamt of dancing with Fred Astaire. Don't you know he breathed a lot of feathers? These steps are definitely an invitation to the dance. What a great shot to enhance the imagination.
