Windows like jewels...

I always slow down to look at these beautiful windows when I drive on Fremont. I wonder if they were created at nearby Judson Studios? Judson's historic stained glass artisans have been filling windows with color and magic for almost 112 years -- 89 years in the present location, just outside of South Pasadena in the Highland Park/Garvanza section of Los Angeles.

I'll bet the colors are amazing inside the house.

I always feel so ashamed when I see your posts. You see so much of my hometown that I never notice. Loverly.

If not for the sexy curve of the palm frond over the window, this beautiful shot could have been taken in Boston or somewhere in Europe... But like skillful narrative in a novel, the palm frond establishes our setting.

LOVE the lavender-rust and blue-yellow contrasts. And those windows... I just might have to rethink my love affair with minimalism!

OMG! I LOVE colored light - remember back when my living room was lit with colored bulbs only? I don't know if I'd ever want to leave this room! Except maybe in the summer, when attic spaces suck! Not the easiest window to stick in an A/C unit, I bet. :o)

In Vancouver, and I guess most of North America, houses of a certain vintage all had at least one small leaded glass window.

I remember quite well the window in the house where we lived until I was 10.

Yak, your minimalist side might have a convulsion in my house....wreaths, floral arrangements, pictures, dashes of sentiment, decorative dishes. My stuff! As for these windows, they are like Christmas tree decorations only they can be enjoyed inside and out. Year in and year out. The palm frond adds just the right touch. Laurie, your eye looks and says, "Wouldn't it be loverly!"

Hello everyone,

San Diego Farmgirl, I DO remember your fabulous colorful living room. And also that lamp you had with melted GI Joes on it. Whatever happened to that?!

Wayne, my old home has one of those windows, too!

Thanks for so many nice words today, people. Until tomorrow...
