Just wondering the name of the paint used on these Mound Street apartments. In a town displaying the lovely but muted palette of classic Craftsman architecture, these cheeky buildings stand out like red dresses at a black tie gala. Personally, I love their counterpoint.

As a designer, I know that the sea of green surrounding this building makes that warm color "pop," as they say on HGTV. (It's opposite on the color wheel.) Regardless of what you name the color, it has that South Pasadena glow that you portray so well in this blog. Keep this up, and next thing you know we'll see an NBC sitcom called "SouthPas."
I don't know what you call the color, but it should be named for a food because it's making my mouth water!

I know that you posted this two years ago, and might never see this comment, but in this apartment building over 70 years ago, lived the man who murdered 5 South Pasadena educators at SPHS & SPJHS in May 1940. Just thought you might want to know! (his name was Verlin Spencer, and he lived in one of the back apartments. I have a photo of it, I'll share it with you one of these days when we become fast friends).
