Everybody, meet my friend Escott O. Norton. Escott is one of the founding members of Friends of the Rialto -- a group instrumental in revitalizing our beloved Rialto theater back in the 1980s. You can learn about his work with the theater in my recent Patch video Remembering and Imagining the Rialto.
Escott shares my vision of a restored Rialto. He recently set up a Friends of the Rialto Facebook page for those who are dedicated to the cause. Please check it out for some wonderful Rialto stories and photos as well as updates and breaking news.
Helping bring back the Rialto is not the only cool thing about Escott -- he's also a City Daily Photo blogger. Be sure to check out his beautiful work at Eagle Rock Daily Photo.

Good stuff!
Very cool.
Thanks for posting this, Laurie. Everyone interested in saving the Rialto should join the Friends of the Rialto Facebook page, so that we can begin to try coordinate some steps, and get a serious interest group, with some pull in the City going.
Thanks for this, Laurie! I am glad to see there is a Facebook page for us!
I joined the Friends of the Rialto page the first time Laurie mentioned it.
I'm glad to meet you, Escott!
Mr. Norton has got to like that photo.
Thanks Laurie for the kind words and all the support YOU are giving! It's so great to see all of the Rialto's Friends joining the Facebook page! Keep spreading the word, folks!
We are working on game plans, ideas, etc. and those who join Friends of the Rialto will be the first to know!
I look forward to the day when we are all sitting in the restored Rialto together, congratulating ourselves on a job well done!
Oh wow! What a great reason to check Facebook. Thanks for this Escott and Laurie!
